Track Championship

Track Championship

Track Championship

Track Championship racing is contested over the 1/8 mile in a Chicago Shootout format on a fully prepped racing surface, delivering competitive heads-up style racing across a range of vehicle classes. Qualifying and eliminations are run using a “Dial Your Own” format, with trophies awarded for 1st and 2nd place in each category along with a Top Qualifier award based on reaction time performance.

The Outlaws category is designed for the quickest competitors at the event, catering for 4, 6, and 8 cylinder vehicles running 5.99 seconds and quicker. Naturally aspirated, turbocharged, supercharged, nitrous, and ProCharged combinations are all permitted, with vehicles required to meet full safety requirements including roll cages, parachutes, and associated tech regulations. If the Outlaws category does not receive a minimum of six pre-entries, competitors will be transferred into the Quick ET bracket. A minimum of six entries per round is required for the class to proceed and to qualify for Track Championship points.

Quick ET caters for Modified and Super Sedan style vehicles running between 5.90 and 7.50 seconds. Vehicles in this category must comply with appropriate tech and safety requirements including roll cages and associated equipment. Racing is conducted in a Dial Your Own Chicago Shootout format, with trophies awarded for 1st, 2nd, and Top Qualifier based on reaction time. As with all championship brackets, a minimum of six entries is required for the class to run and qualify for Track Championship points.

Fast Street is aimed at genuine street cars and daily drivers running between 6.00 and 8.49 seconds. Vehicles may run up to 120mph without requiring a roll cage or full tech inspection, making it an ideal class for competitive street-driven combinations. Cars do not need to be registered but must present in safe, roadworthy condition. Racing is conducted in the same Dial Your Own Chicago Shootout format, with trophies awarded for 1st, 2nd, and Top Qualifier based on reaction time. A minimum field of six cars is required for championship points eligibility.

The Street category is for street cars and daily drivers running 8.50 seconds and slower over the 1/8 mile. Registration is not mandatory, however all vehicles must be in safe, roadworthy condition. Competitors race in the Chicago Shootout format with trophies presented for 1st, 2nd, and Top Qualifier based on reaction time. As with all categories, six entries are required for the bracket to proceed and qualify for Track Championship points.

Motorcycle competitors are catered for through both Drag Bike and Street Bike categories. Drag Bike is open to motorcycles running 6.99 seconds and quicker, while Street Bike is for bikes running 6.40 seconds and slower. Both classes operate under the Dial Your Own Chicago Shootout format with trophies awarded for 1st, 2nd, and Top Qualifier based on reaction time. A minimum of six entries is required in each bracket for the class to proceed and be eligible for championship points.

Young Guns Bike competitors race in an all-run Dial Your Own Chicago Shootout Round Robin format, with trophies and cash prize money awarded to 1st and 2nd place along with Top Qualifier trophies. Young Guns (Junior Dragster) competitors are split into  A, B, and C categories, all competing under the Dial Your Own Chicago Shootout format with trophies awarded for 1st, 2nd, and Top Qualifier honours.

Roll Racing

Track Championship

Track Championship

Roll Racing at Springmount Raceway is a street car style racing event designed to deliver fast, safe, side-by-side action in a controlled environment. Once competitors have completed sign-on and attended the compulsory driver briefing, they can hit the track and choose between two racing formats — “Race Ya Mate,” where drivers line up against a friend or rival of their choice, or “Race Anyone,” where competitors enter the marshalling lane and are paired randomly against another vehicle.

When called forward by the marshal, drivers move into the burnout area where burnouts are optional before both cars proceed into the pre-stage and stage beams, just like a traditional drag race. Once the Christmas Tree goes green, both competitors accelerate side-by-side to a controlled rolling speed between 40–50km/h. At the 330-foot mark, drivers reach the Roll Racing start lights and from there it’s full throttle all the way to the 1/4 mile finish line before safely getting off the throttle, exiting the track, and returning for another run. To ensure fair and safe racing, slingshot starts are not permitted and all competitors must maintain the designated starting speed range throughout the rollout.

Roll Racing is open to all registered street cars and is built around maintaining a genuine street car atmosphere. Unregistered vehicles may be considered if they fit within the “street car” style of the event, however approval must be obtained prior to the event by emailing clear photos of the vehicle exterior, interior, and engine bay to info@addictiveevents.com.au. Vehicles that have not received prior approval will not be permitted to race.

All competing vehicles must run radial tyres only, with no cross ply or bias ply tyres permitted, although front runners are allowed. Vehicles must not have oil, fuel, or water leaks and cannot be fitted with wheelie bars or parachutes or use methanol fuel. Working headlights and tail lights are required, all loose items must be removed from the vehicle, and all safety equipment including seat belts, brakes, and brake lights must be in excellent working order.

The focus of Roll Racing at Springmount Raceway is simple — fast cars, fair racing, and a great night out in a safe and controlled environment.

DYO Challenge

Track Championship

CNW Electrical Diesel Night

This event is open to all street cars and drag cars.

At this stage this event is for cars only, however if we get enough bikes, we will run them to, but we need at least 10 bikes.

How it works

All entrants will start by trying to work out their dial in, by putting down as many or as few passes as they like in a 3-hour open track session. Cars can line up in any staging lane, and the lane marshal will direct you to the start line where you will line up against any other entrant, remember you are just trying to work out your dial in and practice on that light.

This event will be run over the 8th mile and lights will be “Pro-tree”, so make sure you’re ready.

Once the open track session is done, and we are ready to start the DYO Challenge, get your cars into the staging lanes, if you turn up after round 1 has completed, sorry you have missed out.

Once in the lanes, we will come through and put your dial in on the side of your car, here’s the thing though, once you have locked in your dial in, YOU CAN’T CHANGE IT. Your dial in must stay the same for each round, if you are found to have changed your dial in, you will be disqualified.

Ready to Race?

Now that you are in the lanes and ready to go, our lane marshal will randomly pick you and your dancing partner to line up against, and yes, its an eliminator, so if you win come back around to the lanes, however if you don’t see the win light then its time to grab a beverage on the mound and watch some racing.

Normal DYO rules apply, wait for your green, get across the line first without going under your dial in to go through to the next round, when it comes to braking out or red lighting, “first is worst”.

We will continue to run round after round until there is just 1 standing, so make sure you can do laps and you have plenty of fuel on board.

Anyone who doesn’t get back to the lanes before the next round starts will be disqualified, so get back to the lanes, don’t head back to your camp unless you are out.

660 No Prep Street Meet

CNW Electrical Diesel Night

660 No Prep Street Meet

660 No Prep Street Meet is a street car style drag racing event open to all registered vehicles, bringing together everything from tough streeters to high horsepower builds for a night of heads-up racing action. “No Prep” means the racing surface is not treated with the heavy traction compounds normally used at drag racing events, creating a more challenging and unpredictable racing environment that puts the focus on driver skill, chassis setup, and street-style performance.

The format for the night begins with open runs, giving drivers plenty of opportunities to test and tune their combinations before the event moves into eliminator style racing later in the evening. The event is designed to maintain a genuine street car atmosphere, with radial tyres only permitted — no cross ply or bias ply tyres allowed. Vehicles must not have wheelie bars, parachutes, or use methanol fuel, and all cars must be free from oil, fuel, or water leaks. Working headlights and tail lights are required, along with all safety equipment including seat belts, brakes, and brake lights being in excellent working order. Loose items must be removed from the vehicle, and passengers are not permitted.

Drivers must be over 18 years of age and present valid photo identification at sign-on. Minimum clothing requirements are a long sleeve shirt, long pants, and enclosed shoes, with an AS/NZS 1698 approved helmet or equivalent mandatory for all competitors.

Unregistered vehicles may be considered if they fit within the “street car” style of the event. Competitors wishing to enter an unregistered vehicle must email clear photos of the exterior, interior, and engine bay to info@addictiveevents.com.au for approval prior to the event. Any unregistered vehicle that has not received prior approval will not be permitted to race.
