UPDATE: Springmount Raceway and Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car management have regrettably decided to postpone the event that was due to be held on Saturday, August 5.
Following consultation with the local experts and the examination of forecast weather, it was determined that the likelihood of bad weather and the expectant effect of persistent rain would make it impossible to run the event satisfactorily.
Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars and Springmount Raceway want to put on the very best show possible for the north Queensland crowd.
Both Springmount Raceway and the Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car organisers have confirmed the alternative date, which will be September 23.
Unfortunately, these circumstances are beyond the promoter’s control but everyone involved intend to make the September event even more spectacular!
The Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars are coming to Springmount Raceway on August 5! Come and see these ground-pounding 4,000 horsepower machines as they hit speeds of up to 400km/h!
This event also forms Round 3 of Springmount Raceway’s 2017 Track Championship Series so will include a great line-up of supporting categories, plus there will be pro burnout demonstrations during the sun break which will be broadcast on a big LED screen so you won’t miss a thing from your spot on the hill!
There will also be a Test & Tune on Friday night which will be the first ever racing at Springmount Raceway under permanent lighting, so come along and make a weekend of it!
Food, bar and camping available, and a free jumping castle for the kids!

Additional Competitor Information
Nominate your car or bike HERE. Note that there are three (3) options – “Test & Tune”, “Race” or “Test & Tune and Race”. The Test & Tune will be run from 6pm – 9pm Friday night and again from 8am – 11am on Saturday morning. The entrant fee for the Test & Tune covers either or both of these sessions, but does not cover racing which starts at 11am. Select “Test & Tune” if you do not wish to be part of the round of the Track Championship Series. The “Race” option covers racing in the round of the Track Championship Series which will include three (3) rounds of qualifying plus three (3) rounds of racing in a Chicago Shootout format, plus a final. This will run from 11am until approximately 7pm on Saturday. The “Test & Tune and Race” option covers both the Test & Tune and Race sessions.
The Track Championship Series is being run over five (5) rounds with points being allocated to each entrant at each round which will be tallied up to determine the overall Series Champion for each bracket at the end of the year. Winners and runner-ups of each bracket at each round will also receive prize money and trophies.
